ASSYNT HIGHLAND GAMES

The Pipe Band is also an unmissable part of the Games and start off with welcoming and leading the Chieftain from the Culag Pier onto the Games field, followed by a marching display.

During the afternoon competitions are held for individual pipers to take part in.

Competitors are required to perform a number of traditional tunes forming the more complex classical music of the Highland Bagpipe such as the Piobiareachd (or Pibroch), March, Strathspey & Reel and Jig.
